Terms & Conditions of Container Disposal

Thank you for your enquiry with considering working with Container Disposal. We are a nationwide specialist in the removal and disposal of older shipping containers. We will keep you informed on each step of the process and make sure that disposing of your shipping container(s) is done with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. Our process ensures a hassle and worry free container disposing experience.
Please be sure to read the below content carefully to understand the process and let us know if you wish to proceed or if you have any more questions.
The quotation includes the works involved to: Haulage to site, to lift and transport the container to either a destination of your choice (A-B Haulage) or to dispose of your empty shipping container at one of our licensed waste transfer sites and finally haulage back to the depot. Our quotations will always be provided as a cost +VAT.
The schedule typically allows for us to progress the works in as little as a week, or later to suit a clients onsite schedule. When sheduling in works, please do let us know should you have any specific dates that would suit.
When a quote is provided it takes into account the time on site. Should time over run because of other activities on site preventing our procedure or obstacles not explained to us we may have to charge a further £85+VAT per hour. Should we come to site to pick up the container and for any reason outside of our control that the lift cannot be achieved, whilst we are there and the pickup date needs rescheduling, then a full aborted lift charge will apply and another attendance would need to be rescheduled and a second full sum paid. We only collect empty containers. It is essential that the container is empty of all foreign materials/contaminants. (Example; plastics, timber, ceramics, glass, hazardous waste etc) If the container is not empty it will not be removed and the charge for removing will be non-refundable. Should you have any doubt, please provide further photos so we can assist. Following a full aborted lift, there would be another fee to return at a later date. Should the container be removed and it was not empty, you will be charged the amount necessary to hold and dispose of the contents via a bulk waste licensed waste transfer site, plus our operational fee for doing so. Cancelation or change of date should be made no later than 72 hours prior to the previously agreed date, otherwise a fee will be incurred to reschedule.
Payment for the removal and disposal of the shipping container(s), or to complete an A-B lift to another destination, should follow receipt of the Pro Forma Invoice. Payment is required to secure the forthcoming scheduled booking. Payment must not be any later than 72 hours prior to the agreed works date. If payment has not been received, we will need to reschedule, unless if agreed otherwise in writing by Container Disposal. Payments by credit card are possible, however will incur a 3.5% surcharge to cover PayPal bank charges. BACS payments are free and preferred. Please quote invoice number on payment transactions. The cost stated above is based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Any statements deemed inaccurate that subsequently cause delay or failure to complete works will affect the final cost. All quotations are based on weekday working (excluding bank holidays) and normal working hours unless stated otherwise. Any cancellations to be confirmed in writing. Jobs cancelled within 24 working hours of commencement date may incur a cancellation fee.
The shipping container(s) should be empty, unless otherwise agreed. They should not be connected to any form of electric, gas or water supplies or other structurers. Our drivers will require access to get a suitable sized lorry to the container, so the path and access from the highway to the container must not be obstructed. To operate, due to their weight, our vehicles rarely travel over grass (although not impossible, it requires additional planning/logistics), vehicles require level hardstanding (300kN) required for our vehicle to load and offload, also no overhead power cables within 6m of full working radius of lorry loader. We reserve the right to leave the container if the above preparation has not taken place. There will be another fee to return at a later date.
